Makerspace now available at the St. Marys Public Library

In 2017, the Library was successful in acquiring grant money from the Stratford Perth Community Foundation in order to create a Makerspace. Due to space constraints, the Library's makerspace will operate as a mobile station where members of the community can tinker, create and make by making appointments to use the equipment. “Our Makerspace is a new way for people to connect with and use their Library,” Rebecca Webb, Library Services Coordinator, says.

Hydro One will be conducting routine vegetation maintenance

In order to provide a continued supply of safe and reliable electricity to the Town of St. Marys, Hydro One will be conducting routine vegetation maintenance on the electricity transmission corridor from St. Marys Transmission Station through the Town of St. Marys.

If you haven’t been into the Library in a while, it may be time to check out (pun intended) what’s new!

The Library is expanding its collections offerings once again! Starting February 1, patrons will be able to borrow Nintendo Switch games from the Library. The games are available as part of the Library’s media collection that includes video games for all consoles, new release movies and tv series, magazines, audio-books and more.

Town responds to surface water creating icy conditions at Emily Street underpass

UPDATE - Monday, February 25, 2019
Public Works confirmed operation of local Emily Street sub drains last week. All were found to be operating correctly. In order to collect surface water, additional targeted surface drainage inlets will be installed in coming weeks (weather pending). Until these works are completed crews will continue to apply de-icing material and scrape ice build-up when possible.
