New exhibits, old antiques and a fresh new look

There is something for everyone this autumn at the St. Marys Museum!

The Citizens of St. Marys Gallery will be of special interest to local sports fans. The exhibit, In the Big League, features 17 St. Marys Lincolns alumni who went to play in the NHL. It opened in mid-September and continues until summer 2019.

Town advising residents of possible Canada Post strike

The Town of St. Marys is making residents aware of a possible strike by Canada Post plant workers and mail carriers.

In the event of a strike, the delivery of important documents from the Town of St. Marys could be delayed, including tax bills and accounts receivable bills from the landfill, Child Care Centre and Pyramid Recreation Centre.

Although residents may not receive mail during a strike, they are still required to make bill payments. Payments made by mail during a strike may not be delivered...

Town hosting viewing party on November 26 for St. Marys Murdoch Mysteries episode

All will be revealed on Monday, November 26 when the made-in-St. Marys episode of CBC’s hit show Murdoch Mysteries will air – and everyone is invited!

The Town is hosting a free viewing party at the Pyramid Recreation Centre to celebrate this memorable community experience. The episode’s television debut will be shown live at 8:00 p.m. on the Community Hall’s big screen for all to enjoy.

St. Marys Museum holding appraisal event on Saturday, Sept. 29

Ever wonder what that family heirloom, trinket or weirdly wonderful collection is worth? Now’s your chance to find out!

The St. Marys Museum is hosting an antique appraisal event on Saturday, Sept. 29 as part of Culture Days, a nation-wide celebration of Canadian culture.

For a donation to the Museum, attendees can bring a maximum of three items for the experts to appraise. The proceeds from this event benefit the St. Marys Museum and Archives...

Parking stall closures due to library relocation

Disruption

The St. Marys Public Library is temporarily re-locating to the End Zone at the Pyramid Recreation Centre to accommodate a carpet and paint renovation in the library building. There will be some minor service disruptions in place during relocation:

  • Four parking stalls in front of the Church Street Library entrance will be closed from Monday, August 27 until the end of September
  • Two parking stalls on Queen Street next to the Town Hall/Cenotaph will be reserved from Tuesday, August 28...
