It has come to our attention that there have recently been door-to-door water or water filter sales people in town who may be indicating or implying affiliation with the Town. Please note that the Town of St. Marys has not retained and is not affiliated with any company going door to door related to water or water filters.

Early Christmas gift for St. Marys Fire Department

Christmas came early this year to the St. Marys Fire Department, when an anonymous person generously donated $9,000 toward the purchase of two thermal imaging cameras (TIC).

A TIC allows firefighters to see areas of heat through smoke, darkness or heat-permeable barriers. They are usually used in cases where people are trapped and rescuers cannot find them.

Lots of holiday cheer in St. Marys this December

There’s no shortage of holiday fun to be had in St. Marys as Christmas draws near.

The next two weekends, visitors to the wonderful WinterLights display will be able to enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides around Milt Dunnell Field. The rides will be offered December 15 and 16, December 22 and 23, as well as on Christmas Eve, December 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Pick-up is at the north end of the field, near the Lions sign.

St. Marys Public Library and Town Hall to undergo window replacements

Two iconic structures in downtown St. Marys will soon be getting a facelift. On Friday, December 7, 2018, the Town will begin the process of replacing the windows in the St. Marys Public Library and Town Hall. The project is expected to take two weeks.

Town of St. Marys shares statement on Maple Leaf plant closure

On Monday, November 26, 2018 the Town of St. Marys received a letter from Maple Leaf Foods announcing its intention to close its plant in the nearby Township of Perth South. The plant is one of three that is being closed to make way for a new, large-scale poultry processing facility that the company is building in London.
