The St. Marys Public Library strives to take an active role in our community by providing engaging programs and events. There are a variety of regular programs (descriptions below), special programs, including author visits and Living Library events, and a summer program for children. In addition, the Friends of the St. Marys Public Library offer twice annual book sales.

After Hours @The Library |
Craft in company after hours at the Library! Afterhours crafts happen About 5 times a year and are for ages 18+. Past crafts include canvas painting, candle making, flower wreaths, etc. Refreshments are provided by the Library. Watch the calendar for upcoming dates and crafts. Registration is required. |
Book Club |
Welcome to our book club! This group meets once a month to discuss the monthly title. The Library provides a copy of the month's selected book to members. Contact the Library to join. Date: Last Tuesday of each month Time: 11:00am Location: In person at the Library |
Cooking Club |
Join us the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30am for the Cooking Club, online edition! We meet on Zoom to discuss recipes, kitchen tools and all things cooking. Everyone is welcome! Date: First Tuesday of each month |
Crafty Tales |
Join Laura on the second Friday of the month for rhymes, puppets, songs, shakers, and stories. Stay after the storytime for a fun, keepsake craft! Date: Second Friday of each month |
Living Library Events |
Offered several times a year, Living Library events feature interesting people and organizations engaging in a lively conversation often led by Library CEO, Sarah Andrews. Refreshments are provided. Watch the calendar for upcoming dates and guest information. |
Mahjong Intro Sessions and Open Play |
Mahjong Intro SessionsWednesdays, 1pmJoin us at 1pm on Wednesdays for our weekly Mahjong intro session for folks who are new to the game of Mahjong, still learning, or looking for a refresher. These sessions allow participants to learn the suits, rules, and get introduced to the game cards. Participants can come to intro sessions as often as they'd like. Staying for open play is optional. Makerspace Demo Days |
Join us to get a taste for the space by making a new project each month in the Makerspace. Demo days are designed to give people an idea of the kinds of projects that can be made in the Makerspace anytime! To register for this free program fill out the form on our Bookings page. Join the Friends of the Library for a drop in evening and meet new people, chat about living in St. Marys and learn about our Library and community.
