The Library is the proud owner of a software called Beanstack that allows patrons to track their reading, review books, earn badges and more! Beanstack can be used in a web browser or through the easy-to-use app for android or apple.
The Library has three challenges available right now. One for children, one for teens, and one for adults. Find more information below.
Beanstack allows kids to track their reading throughout the school year to earn badges, log their book titles, win prizes and more. Track through a web browser or the Beanstack app.
Here at the Library, we keep track of all Beanstack readers and give away a prize each week. To be eligible for the prize, kids will have to read and track at least one hour of reading each week.
The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024, to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend the closure until fall 2025.
The Town is hosting a drop-in Open House in the EndZone of the Pyramid Recreation Centre on Wednesday, June 18 from 5 to 7 PM. Residents will have the chance to observe the progress of the renovation to date and ask questions.
