St. Marys to host Canadian film premiere on Friday, July 6

A boy with strong ties to St. Marys has inspired a filmmaker halfway around the world – and on Friday, July 6, residents will have the opportunity to be part of its Canadian premiere.

As part of the implementation of the Town of St. Marys Recreation and Leisure Services Master Plan, the Town is reaching out to the community to find out what kind of recreation programs residents might like to see in the future.

All invited to ribbon-cutting of Lions pavilion, Rotary splash pad

Since early spring, St. Marys residents have been patiently awaiting the construction of the Rotary Splash pad, Lions pavilion and performing arts stage in Cadzow Park.

The wait is almost over! On Thursday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m., everyone is invited to join in the grand opening of these new additions to the beloved park.

Aquatics Centre pool filtration system notice

Disruption
Swimmers at the Aquatics Centre may notice small amounts of sand at the bottom of the pool due to a filtration issue. The pool remains open and safe for swimming. Staff will continue to vacuum the pool on a regular basis after-hours until filtration system repairs can be scheduled.

Free Friday night concert kicks off Heritage Festival on July 13

The historic Town Hall theatre will come alive with music the evening of Friday, July 13, as renowned St. Marys-based jazz vocalist Jennifer Thorpe takes to the stage for a licensed show to help officially open the 23rd annual Stonetown Heritage Festival.
