There’s no shortage of holiday fun to be had in St. Marys as Christmas draws near.
The next two weekends, visitors to the wonderful WinterLights display will be able to enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides around Milt Dunnell Field. The rides will be offered December 15 and 16, December 22 and 23, as well as on Christmas Eve, December 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Pick-up is at the north end of the field, near the Lions sign.

Two iconic structures in downtown St. Marys will soon be getting a facelift. On Friday, December 7, 2018, the Town will begin the process of replacing the windows in the St. Marys Public Library and Town Hall. The project is expected to take two weeks.
The work will get underway at the library on December 7; the facility is scheduled to be closed that day for staff training. A number of parking stalls in front of the library will also be inaccessible as of December 7 and will remain unavailable throughout...

On Monday, November 26, 2018 the Town of St. Marys received a letter from Maple Leaf Foods announcing its intention to close its plant in the nearby Township of Perth South. The plant is one of three that is being closed to make way for a new, large-scale poultry processing facility that the company is building in London.
