After almost five months of closed doors, the St. Marys Public Library is pleased to announce that it will reopen on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Stratford, St. Marys, North Perth, West Perth, Perth East and Perth South are looking to their residents for input as they collaboratively develop a Community Safety and Wellbeing (CSWB) Plan. Effective immediately today, Monday, July 27, and thanks to consistent enough rainfall over the past week, the open air fire ban has been lifted in the County of Perth, including the Town of St. Marys. Burn permits can now be issued and must abide by the respective municipality’s open air burn by-law. To apply for a burn permit for the Town of St. Marys, visit www.townofstmarys.com/burnpermits.

Funding will be used to launch “Friendship Centre Without Walls”
The St. Marys Friendship Centre has been given a funding boost. The centre recently received $20,000 from the Stratford Perth Community Foundation through the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
The centre is using the funding to launch a new “Friendship Centre without Walls” program. The initiative is an expansion of the current Community Wellness Program, which was started in March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
