Contact Us

The St. Marys Museum offers a range of engaging and interactive programs for schools and youth groups, seniors/retirement homes and adult organizations. Through the use of artifacts, historic photographs and interactive presentations, participants will explore the history and heritage of St. Marys. If you are interested in learning more about these programs, please contact the museum for details.

Curriculum-Based School Programs

The St. Marys Museum offers a number of curriculum-based school field trips programs. The following programs are currently offered at the St. Marys Museum:

Grade 1: The Local Community
Grade 2: Changing Family and Community Traditions
Grade 3: Early Settlers, Living and Working in Ontario
Grade 5: Local Government
Grade 6: Settlement and Economic Development, Marginalized Settler Groups Who Shaped our Community
Grades 4-10: Remembrance Day, WWI Letters
Grades 7-12: Cemetery Tours

The fee for on-site programming is $3.50/student. Virtual and outreach programs are also an option.

Programs can be developed to meet all grades and curriculum requirements. If you wish to book a field trip for your class that is not currently being offered, please contact the Museum.

Melodies at the Museum

The Gees Gees perform during Melodies at the Museum 2018

The St. Marys Museum hosts the annual Melodies at the Museum summer concert series every Wednesday evening in August. From 7 to 8 p.m. a different musical performance takes place outdoors in Cadzow Park. Admission is by donation with all proceeds supporting the St. Marys Museum. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair with you!

Time: 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Where: Cadzow Park
Admission: By donation
Bring: Lawn chair or blanket
Note: Concert will be relocated to an indoor venue in inclement weather

Seminar Series

The Museum offers a range of engaging and educational monthly seminars on local history topics.

Time: Thursday evening seminars run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m; Saturday seminars run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: St. Marys Museum
Admission: Cost for each seminar is $12 ($10 for members of the Friends of the Museum)
Registration: Pre-registration is necessary as space is limited. For information or to register, contact the Museum.

Outreach Programming

Unable to visit the St. Marys Museum? We can bring the Museum to you! The St. Marys Museum offers a number of outreach programming opportunities to area schools, retirement homes, special interest group meetings, and adult day programs. For booking inquiries, contact the Museum.

The Museum offers heritage walking and bus tours for pre-booked groups. Visitors may wish to explore St. Marys using our Self-Guided Heritage Walking Tour brochure.
