Town announces facility hours for Family Day

The following hours will be in effect for Town of St. Marys facilities for Family Day (Monday, February 20, 2023):

Closed

  • Administrative offices (Town Hall and Municipal Operations Centre)
  • Adult Learning
  • Before and After School Program
  • Child Care Centre
  • EarlyON Centre
  • Friendship Centre
  • Fire Hall
  • GO Train service
  • Landfill
  • Library
  • Mobility Services Offices (Rides must be booked by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17)
  • Museum and Archives
  • Service Ontario
  • Youth Centre

Open:

  • Home Support Services such as Meals on Wheels...

Local community is excited for Jamboree returning to the Friendship Centre

A community event that’s been a highlight of many locals weekly social time, has returned in-person to the Friendship Centre. Jamboree is once again offering afternoons of comradery, music, singing, dancing and more!

Everyone is welcome to attend Jamboree and play, dance and/or sing to old-time jamboree music. If you’re a musician, vocalist or neither, you’re guaranteed to have a great time.  Jamboree is held weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Friendship Centre.

Pyramid Recreation Centre pool re-opening on February 15

After an unanticipated closure, the pool at the Pyramid Recreation Centre is re-opening on February 15, 2023.

All aquatics programs will be running as usual. The next session of swimming lessons will run as follows:

  • Wednesdays - February 15 to April 5
  • Thursdays - February 16 to April 6
  • Fridays - February 17 to March 31
  • Saturdays - February 18 to April 1
  • Sundays - February 19 to April 2
  • Mondays - February 27 to April 3
  • Tuesdays - February 21 to April 4

After two years of virtual events, the St. Marys Heritage Fair is back in person! On Friday, February 24, exhibitors will come together to showcase artifacts, collections and special projects that celebrate local history. It’s all part of the St. Marys Heritage Fair, an annual event that is hosted by the St. Marys Museum.

Firefighter Jeff Sass named Firefighter of the Month for February

This February the St. Marys Fire Department is pleased to announce Jeff Sass as its “Firefighter of the Month”. Sass joined the St. Marys Fire Department as a firefighter in 2001 and is the recipient of the 20-year Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal.
