Ban ensures safe and effective snow removal during winter season

The Town of St. Marys is reminding residents of its overnight winter parking ban, which took effect on November 1, 2022, and will remain in place until April 30, 2022. The ban prohibits on-street parking on any municipal roads and boulevards between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 a.m.

Portions of Church Street and Queen Street closed November 6 for Legion parade

Portions of Church St. N and Queen St. E will be closed on Sunday, November 6, 2022, for the St. Marys Legion’s Remembrance Week Parade.

The following sections will be closed from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.:

  • Church St. N from Station St. to Queen St. E
  • Queen St. E from Church St. N to Peel St. S

The parade will leave the Legion at 12:30 p.m. and proceed to the Town Hall Cenotaph for a service of remembrance.

St. Marys Fire Department is pleased to share that 8-year-old Kathryn Holliday, a grade three student of Little Falls Public School was this year’s “Fire Chief for a Day”.

With Fire Prevention Week October 9-15, 2022, came the opportunity for elementary students to enter to win a “Fire Chief for a Day Experience”. The 2022 Fire Prevention Week theme was: "Fire Doesn’t Wait, Plan Your Escape”. The task was to have students plan and draw their own home escape plan.
