Traffic and parking stall closures for Stonetown Heritage Festival

Disruption

Please note that the following roads and parking stalls will be closed on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to the Stonetown Heritage Festival:

  • Queen St. from Church St. to Thomas St.
  • Water St. from Jones St. E to the Water St. N Municipal Parking lot

Vehicular traffic will be limited on the section of Wellington St. between Jones St. to Station St.  

A detour route will be marked out with signage for those needing an alternate route.

Milt Dunnell Field will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. and the trestle (Sarnia Bridge) will be closed to pedestrian traffic from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. so that live music and fireworks can be safely enjoyed.

No public parking available at the Opera House lot during the festival.

Alternative downtown parking lots

  • Jones St. E (beside the Adult Learning Centre)
  • Elgin St. (Canadian Tire Parking lot)

Free Shuttle Service

Park at or walk to the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James St. S) for a ride to the festivities downtown. The shuttle will run on a continual loop from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The shuttle pick-up/drop-off locations will be at the St. Marys Friendship Centre (Entrance C), Town Hall and Milt Dunnell Field.
