With the guidance of St. Marys Fire Department Fire Chief Richard “Andy” Anderson, the Town of St. Marys has adopted a comprehensive new Fire Services Master Plan. The purpose of the Master Plan is to provide a 10-year strategy for the responsible delivery of fire protection services that will keep pace with development, technology, and the continued development of St. Marys. The creation of the Master Plan involved examining existing and emerging fire risks and emergency response models as well as comparing the service delivery needs of the Town to industry best practices in order to identify any possible efficiencies or improvements. The Master Plan will guide decision making and provide direction to Town Council as councilors – who adopted the Master Plan on the 14th of May, 2019 – consider the future needs and circumstances of the community.
