Town to transition to completely online bids&tenders process

Software demonstration will take place at Municipal Operations Centre on Monday, April 10

The Town of St. Marys is joining the Township of Perth South, as well as over 100 other municipalities, in the use of a new bids&tenders web portal that will eventually allow vendors to submit bids completely online. The Town of St. Marys section of the portal can be accessed at https://stmarys.bidsandtenders.ca.

This technology is being rolled out in two phases:

Phase One allows vendors to view, register and download bid documents online. The Town of St. Marys will still require hard copy submissions as directed in the bid documents.

Phase Two will bring the process entirely online, allowing vendors to quickly and easily submit bids through the web portal. The start date for Phase Two has yet to be announced.

Although bid documents can be previewed entirely online for free, vendors who wish to apply for a tender must create a bids&tenders vendor account and pay an annual subscription fee. An unlimited annual subscription fee is available for $165.  Alternatively, for those who do less bidding, a one-time fee of $45 per download can be purchased.

The Town of St. Marys will host an in-person demonstration of the new bids&tenders web portal on Monday, April 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Operations Centre. The Town encourages those who are unable to attend the above event to access one of the monthly webinars offered by bids&tenders.
