Town accepting applications for Community Policing Advisory Committee

The Town of St. Marys currently has a vacancy on its Community Policing Advisory Committee.

The Town is now accepting applications from members of the public who are interested in serving on the committee. The term of this appointment will end on November 30, 2018.

The Committee meets on a monthly basis at 9:00 am on the third Wednesday of the month. The primary responsibilities of the committee include receiving policing reports and statistics from the Chief of Police and making recommendations to Town Council on the priorities and objectives for policing in the Town.

To be eligible to serve on the Community Policing Advisory Committee you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older; and
  • Be a Canadian citizen; and
  • Be a resident of St. Marys or an eligible elector in St. Marys.

Employees of the Town and employees of the police service provider are not eligible to serve on the Community Policing Advisory Committee.

An application form can be obtained from the Clerk’s office or from the Town website.

Completed applications should be returned to the Clerk’s office by February 2, 2018 in one of the following ways:
