Special guests include soloist Chloe Weir and Jazz duo Jaron Camp and Richard Sumstad

On Friday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m., the Stonetown Entertainers will present an evening of music and song in the community hall at the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James Street South). The concert will encompass a range of genres from Celtic to classic Canadiana, sing along and barbershop. Dessert and refreshments will be served as part of the event.

The men’s and ladies' choir for ages fifty and older has been sharing its love of music with the community since 1976. The choir’s new music director, Landon Hoare, is excited to be a part of the event for the first time. “I’m very pleased to be able to work with these wonderful musicians,” says Hoare, “They have worked very hard to put together a diverse and interesting concert.”

The concert will also feature guest performances from national award winning soloist Chloe Weir, who residents may recognize from her role in the St. Marys Community Players’ 2017 production of Man of La Mancha, as well as critically acclaimed St. Marys DCVI Jazz Duo Jaron Camp and Richard Sumstad on trumpet and guitar.

Tickets for the concert are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Admission is free for children aged twelve and under. Tickets will be available for purchase from choir members, or at the St. Marys Friendship Centre and Lyric Flowers.
