The Town is launching a variety of new programs this fall and winter, as well as bringing back previous favourites. Details can be found in the Fall and Winter Town of St. Marys Recreation and Leisure Program Guide, now available at most municipal facilities and www.townofstmarys.com/townguide. The guide features programs coordinated by municipal staff at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, St. Marys Child Care Centre, St. Marys Museum and Archives, St. Marys Public Library and Friendship Centre as well as a list of upcoming special events.

Residents will discover a variety of new offerings in the publication. The Child Care Centre now provides infant care for babies under 18 months of age. The Youth Centre is adding gaming and creative writing to its drop-in schedule, as well as a special Water Safety Course just for its members. Youth will also be able to sign-up for a “Zombie Survival Camp” day in November, which will teach them real-life wilderness survival, self-defense and self-reliance skills.

Team-based activities for ages 18 and up such as a dodgeball league and co-ed ultimate frisbee will be sure to energize adults.

The Friendship Centre is also launching an “Old-timers” pick-up hockey league for ages 50 and up. Friendship Centre members will also now be eligible for discounted skating admission during noon hour or adult ice times.

Returning offerings include Aquatics Centre swimming programs and lessons, Museum seminars, Library activities and much more. For details about the Town Guide or recreation and leisure programs, contact 519-284-2160 or prccsr@town.stmarys.on.ca.
