The Town of St. Marys has closed sections of Huron Street South, Elgin Street East, and Jones Street East to perform emergency sanitary repairs.

Huron Street South is closed between Queen Street East and Elizabeth Street, while Elgin Street East and Jones Street East are closed between St. Andrews Street South and Brock Street South.

Road excavation and asphalt removals are currently underway in the area. Underground work is expected to be complete by Monday, May 2, 2022, with asphalt restorations to be done later in the month.

Driveways in the repair areas (noted on map below) will not be accessible while the work is being done. Those that reside in the area are asked to park on Jones Street East and west of Huron Street for the duration of the work.

A temporary construction pump will be used at the intersection of Elgin Street East and Huron Street South. The pump is required to run constantly and will create some noise overnight on Monday, April 25 until a repair is completed at the intersection on Tuesday, April 26.

The repairs will also affect Queen Street East between Thursday, April 28 and Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Queen Street East will be closed intermittently from St. Andrew Street North to Brock Street South.
