Save the date for “Secrets and Lies”!

Town hosting viewing party on November 26 for St. Marys Murdoch Mysteries episode

All will be revealed on Monday, November 26 when the made-in-St. Marys episode of CBC’s hit show Murdoch Mysteries will air – and everyone is invited!

The Town is hosting a free viewing party at the Pyramid Recreation Centre to celebrate this memorable community experience. The episode’s television debut will be shown live at 8:00 p.m. on the Community Hall’s big screen for all to enjoy.

Titled “Secrets and Lies,” portions of the episode were filmed in St. Marys this August, with many area residents serving as extras. This is the second time Murdoch Mysteries has filmed in St. Marys.

St. Marys stood in for Toronto for portions of the episode “Toronto’s Girl Problem” when Murdoch Mysteries first came to town in 2014. In “Secrets and Lies” however, St. Marys will play itself.

“Toronto’s Girl Problem” will be shown after “Secrets and Lies” at the viewing party. More details on this fun night will be announced as the date draws near.

In the interim, a slideshow of the filming is being created for the viewing party. If you have photos from the filming that you would like to contribute, they can be emailed to Events Coordinator Andrea Macko at amacko@town.stmarys.on.ca, dropped off on a USB stick to the lower level of Town Hall on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or posted to the viewing party’s Facebook event page, “Murdoch Mysteries ‘Secrets and Lies’ Viewing Party.”
