Service Location Review survey closes April 22, 2023

The Town of St. Marys is reminding residents to share their feedback on the future of 14 Church St. N.

The municipality is currently running a survey to gather input on the best use of the former Mercury Theatre building. The survey also asks how the Town can improve access to services at its other downtown locations: Town Hall, the St. Marys Public Library and the train station.

The survey takes around five minutes to complete and is open until April 22, 2023. Residents can find it online at www.townofstmarys.com/dslrsurvey; hard copies are also available at all Town facilities. Completed copies of the paper survey can be submitted at Town facilities or by mail (Town of St. Marys, P.O Box 998, St. Marys, ON. N4X 1B6).

“We are thrilled with the response to the survey so far,” says Mayor Al Strathdee. “As expected, the community has come to the table with many creative and intelligent ideas.”

He continued: “We look forward to hearing from those that have not yet had time to complete the survey. We want to hear from as many people as possible so that our decisions reflect the needs and wants of the public.”

Everyone who answers the survey will be entered to win $50 in St. Marys Money, which can be used like cash at over 40 shops, restaurants and services in town.

The survey is part of the Town’s Downtown Service Location Review. For more information about this project, visit www.townofstmarys.com/servicereview. Questions about the review can be directed to Brent Kittmer, CAO at 519-284-2340, ext. 216 or bkittmer@town.stmarys.on.ca.
