After several months of work, crews are preparing to put the finishing touches on Queen Street in St. Marys. During the week of August 15, a final layer of asphalt will be laid between Peel Street and Thomas Street. Permanent line painting will also be completed at this time.

Preparations for the work will begin on Wednesday, August 10. During this time, drivers can expect reduced parking and intermittent traffic disruptions on Queen Street.

There will be no parking on Queen Street to accommodate traffic flow once the paving and painting is underway. The work is scheduled to be complete by August 19, pending weather conditions.

Drivers are encouraged to park in the municipal lots on Jones, Elgin and Water Streets while the work is completed. Limited parking will be available on side streets.
