Visitors have plenty of reasons to return to the St. Marys Quarry this summer (besides the new cliff jump). The Town of St. Marys is offering a “Quarry After 6” promotion that will allow patrons to swim after 6:00 p.m. for only $3. Outdoor exercise enthusiasts can also enjoy a new drop-in water running group exercise class. The class will run Mondays and Wednesdays, July 3 to August 30, from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. Flotation belts will be provided and the cost to participate is covered by admission.

Back by popular demand are stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) lessons and a day camp with a variety of dates available throughout July and August. The first day camp session and introductory lessons begin the week of July 3. More advanced “paddle fit” and “skill builder series” classes begin the week of July 19. Those interested in paddleboarding lessons should contact London SUP directly at info@londonsup.ca or 519-852-5025.

The Town’s Recreation Department will offer a “Try Tennis Camp”, which will include swimming at the Quarry. Aspiring lifeguards will be able to take Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid/CPR C & AED at the Quarry.

The Quarry will be open 1:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. weekdays as of Friday, June 30. The Town is celebrating the start of the season with a free Canada 150 swim sponsored by Tim Hortons, and a “Kick-off Party” from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., which will included music, games and prizes.
