Public boat launch closed during daytime hours starting July 15

Repairs to Mill Dam may also impact access to Trout Creek and Mill Race Island

Disruption

The public boat launch located at Milt Dunnell Field will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday starting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

The closure is due to work being done on the face of the nearby Mill Dam. The boat launch will be used by workers to access the dam.

A rope will be installed from the boat launch to the working area of the dam during daytime hours. As a result, access to Trout Creek may be limited. Sections of the Mill Race Island may also be inaccessible at times as workers access the dam face from the island.

The repairs to the dam face should be completed by mid-September 2020.
