Overnight parking ban coming into effect November 1

Contact Us

Effective November 1, 2019, on-street parking will not be allowed on any municipal road between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., effective until April 30, 2020.

The winter overnight parking ban includes boulevards and is to allow for the Public Works team to safely, effectively and efficiently plow Town roads, making the Town safer and more accessible for all residents. Also during the winter overnight parking ban, vehicles are not allowed to be parked over top of sidewalks so that they can be cleared as well.

During the first week of November, Public Works team members will begin putting warning notices on non-compliant vehicles. After that first week grace period, Public Works team members will begin notifying the Stratford Police Service so that officers can either ticket vehicles or contact the owners so they can be moved.

Residents can also call the Stratford Police Service non-emergency line at 519-271-4141 to report non-compliant vehicles.
