A community event that’s been a highlight of many locals weekly social time, has returned in-person to the Friendship Centre. Jamboree is once again offering afternoons of comradery, music, singing, dancing and more!

Everyone is welcome to attend Jamboree and play, dance and/or sing to old-time jamboree music. If you’re a musician, vocalist or neither, you’re guaranteed to have a great time.  Jamboree is held weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Friendship Centre.

“There is something for everyone!” Says Peggy Mandigo, a St. Marys resident of over 45 years and regular Jamboree attendee. “If you like to dance, you can dance. If you play an instrument, you can play and if you sing you can get up and sing. The Jams are really social.”

Friendship Centre Members are only $4.00, while non-members are $6.00.

Even if you have never attended before and are not sure what to expect, Peggy encourages everyone to, “Check it out and don’t forget your dancing shoes!”
