Fifth annual International Women’s Day event aims to educate about resilience

The St. Marys Friendship Centre will be holding its fifth annual International Women’s Day Event on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. in person and over Zoom.

This free event will feature presentations from Optimism Place Women's Shelter & Support Services in Stratford as well as keynote speaker Reverend Dr. Sheila Macgregor, who will speaking about resilience.

“This event continues to go strong year after year despite the pandemic,” said Pauline White, Town of St. Marys Wellness Coordinator and event organizer, “I’m always amazed by the people trying to break the bias and share support to women and gender equality. We’re excited to welcome Rev. Sheila and her expertise in helping women become their best selves, even in the face of adversity.”
