Event is an opportunity to learn about local housing and homelessness supports

The Community Housing Consultation that was planned for February 15 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pyramid Recreation Centre.

The event - which is being jointly hosted by the Town of St. Marys and City of Stratford - is an opportunity for residents to learn about local efforts around housing and homelessness.

The consultation will include a presentation from Stratford’s Social Services Department and St. Marys’ Community Outreach Worker. Attendees will have the chance to share input, ideas and strategies about housing and homelessness, and chat with local service providers.

The event is open to all residents; advance registration is not required. A free, fully accessible shuttle will be available to transport attendees to and from the event. It will pick up passengers at the following times and locations:

  • 4:00 pm: Pick up at Sunset Diner (343 Queen St. W)
  • 4:15 pm: Pick up at St. Marys Presbyterian Church (147 Widder St. E)
  • 4:30 pm: Pick up at Town Hall (175 Queen St. E)
  • 4:45 pm: Pick up at Dollarama (588 Queen. St. E)

The shuttle will leave the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 8:15 pm and drop passengers off at their pickup locations.
