The Project:

Through a public-led process, a master plan has been developed to renovate the building. This includes:

  • Programming space for the Library, Friendship Centre, Museum, and Early Learning Services;

  • Permanent space for Adult Learning, and shared meeting spaces for social service agencies to collaborate;

  • Flexible spaces for service clubs, community groups, the arts, and the general public to use for various needs.

The Community Commons at 14 Church Street will provide opportunities for community connection, supporting the Town’s growth plans.

Fundraising:

A goal has been set of raising a million dollars in donations and grants for this project to grow and flourish.

If you are interested in donating to the program, we accept donations to:

  • The Library

  • The Town

Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $25 and over. Help build a legacy. Several options for room naming are available.

We are also pleased to support multi-year pledges, allowing donors to make a lasting impact through contributions over time.

Naming options are available for rooms in the Community Commons, contact Sarah Andrews for further details.
