Swim Lessons at Camp
Camp PRC and the Aquatics team are excited to be working together to offer swimming lessons for registered campers! Campers who wish to participate in swimming lessons at camp should be registered in both weeks that the classes are being offered. For example, anyone registered in both weeks 3 and 4 of summer camp would be eligible to register for lessons in aquatics session 2. The same would apply for campers registered in weeks 7 and 8 of summer camp, being eligible for aquatics session 4.
Registered campers will be supervised by Camp PRC staff as they walk over to the PRC Aquatic Centre to participate in a 30-minute group swim lesson lead by a qualified member of the lifeguard-instructor team. Lifeguard-instructors are certified through the Lifesaving Society as National Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. Camp staff will return at the end of the lesson to walk campers back to join their group for lunch. Lessons run daily for two weeks (Monday – Friday) from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm.
For more information on Swim Lessons at Camp, please contact the Recreation Manager, Joannah Campbell at jocampbell@town.stmarys.on.ca or call 519-284-2340, ext. 626.
