Community Connections
The goal of Community Connections is to provide companionship, support and education to seniors in our community.
On this page:
Telephone Reassurance
Volunteers provide companionship and support by connecting over the phone with socially isolated individuals living in their own homes. These daily or frequent calls provide social contact and security for individuals who may have limited daily contact. Calls are made on a regular basis for various reasons including: health and safety, daily reminders and social connection. The frequency of calls depends on the client's preferences and needs. This is a free service.
Volunteer Visiting
Volunteer Visitors provide companionship and support to help individuals retain their independence. The visiting program encourages community connections. Visits may include activities such as playing games or walking outside.
Volunteers are screened and matched with clients based on similar interests.
This service is available for free.
