The Friendship Centre embraces a holistic approach in serving the needs of adults and people with differing abilities. Through our many activities and recreational programs, we support your social, physical and mental wellbeing. We offer access to membership benefits, as well as helpful information through our monthly newsletter. Our services work in partnership with those of Home Support Services

Your membership fee ensures that all members of the community, regardless of ability, continue to have access to quality programs and services. 

Who can sign-up?

St. Marys and area residents age 50 and older, as well as persons with disabilities

What's the cost?

$44.25 plus tax per year ($50 tax inclusive)

How do I purchase or renew my membership?

Mail: Send a cheque to the follow address along with your name and contact information:

Phone: We can accept credit card payments over the phone (519-284-3272) Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 pm. 

In person: Visit us Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 317 James Street South, Entrance C. 

Online: (IMPORTANT) If you have given us your email when purchasing a membership in the past, you will already have an account in our online registration system. Before purchasing your membership online, please follow the "Past members" instructions below to reset your password and update your profile.

Thank you for signing up in the past with your email. Please follow the instructions below to complete your new ActiveNet account.

  1. Visit the ActiveNet Registration Page, select Sign In/Up and then choose Forgot your password?
  2. Enter the email address you gave us when purchasing a membership in the past.
  3. Check your inbox for a 'reset your password' email.
  4. Reset password and continue to update your online profile.
  5. Update your subscription preferences. Subscriptions enable you to receive the most up-to-date communications about your areas of interest. If you do not choose your communication preferences, you will not receive notifications.
  6. Verify that your date of birth is correct. This can be done by selecting the edit link. (Accurate birth dates will make registration and online purchasing easy for age sensitive items).
  7. Follow the instructions on this page under How to purchase your membership online below.

Create an account with a mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet.

  1. Using your browser, visit the ActiveNet Registration Page select Sign In/Up and locate the “Don’t have an account?” and click Join.
  2. Enter the email address you would like to use as your login
  3. Begin entering your personal information, and create a password.
  4. Read and agree to the Terms of Use, Copyright Policy and Your Privacy Rights and click next.
  5. Continue completing your personal information, click "I’m not a robot" and hit submit.
  6. Once your account has been created, please check your email to activate your account.
  7. After your account has been activated, you may now manage your account settings, including subscribing for communications, and adding family members to your account.
  8. If you are accessing your account from your mobile device, please click the menu on the left top corner and select 'full site' to enable editing of your account.
  9. Follow the instructions on this page under How to purchase your membership online below.

  1. Using your browser, visit the ActiveNet Registration Page.
  2. Sign in with your email and password.
  3. Select the Memberships tab at the top of the page.                      
  4. The next page displays all available memberships in alphabetical order. Select the Add to Cart button beside Friendship Centre Membership.
  5. Review the Membership Sale Form and click Add to Cart.
  6. Choose the participant from the drop-down menu and click Continue.
  7. Complete the "Questions for Friendship Centre Membership" section and click Continue.
  8. Enter your initials to show you have reviewed the waiver, select Check Out and pay. You will be able to pay with a credit card.
  9. You’ll receive a receipt as confirmation of your registration.
