Rotary All Wheels Park
The Town of St. Marys and a group of dedicated volunteers are raised funds to repair and expand the St. Marys Skate Park, now known as the Rotary All Wheels Park on James Street (located at 180 James St. S).
History of the project
In 2022, Jean Rowcliffe partnered with teens Quinn and Sully Bolton to launch a fundraising campaign to revamp the St. Marys Skate Park. Throughout the project, the group secured $100,000 from the Rotary Club of St. Marys, $25,000 from Saputo Inc., and donations from supporters across the globe, totaling $208,443 in funds raised.
In February of 2023, St. Marys Town Council approved a design concept for the upgraded park, which included:
- Street elements
- A quarter pipe
- A bowl
- A pump track
This design separates features that are considered beginner (pump track) from those that are considered advanced (bowl).
The design was chosen after two rounds of consultation with the public, which included online surveys and visits to local elementary and high schools.
Upgrades have been completed and the Rotary All Wheels Park is now an inclusive and safe space for all riders to enjoy!
