Community Garden

Our community garden - located at the St. Marys Cemetery - is the perfect place to connect with nature and spend time with friends and neighbours.

The garden is divided into individual plots that can be leased from mid-May to October 31 each year.

This is a great option if you don't have space for a garden at home. The plots are 10 feet by 20 feet and are ideal for growing fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Services

Gardeners are responsible for maintaining their garden plots throughout the season, including watering, pruning, harvesting/harvest clean up, and pest/disease control.
We offer the following services to gardeners:

• On-site water
• Spring bed preparation (soil tilling) for seasonal plots only

Availability 

NOTE: All plots have been leased for 2025. Please call 519-284-3272 to be added to the waiting list.

• Offers of renewal are sent to existing gardeners in late January/early February
• Existing gardeners must confirm their acceptance of renewal by February
• If a plot is not available, residents will be added to a waiting list and contacted when a plot becomes available

Fees

The cost to rent a plot is $30 for the year, including HST.
