Register a new Pet Licence

Dog and cat owners are required by By-law 56-2023 to register their dog and cat every year. Please complete the fillable Pet Licence Form.

By registering your dog or cat, you are helping to ensure that they are returned to you promptly should they ever get loose and be picked up by Animal Control. Beyond just peace of mind, the registration fees also help maintain the dog park in St. Marys.

Service animals that support persons will visual or hearing disability require a pet licence, however, are exempt for the annual fee. At time of registration, additional supporting documentation is required.

Following the completion of the form and receipt of payment, the pet tag will be available for pick up at Town Hall.

Renew an existing Pet Licence

Each year the pet licence fee is required to be paid. For all existing registrations, an annual invoice will be forwarded by email to pet owners for renewal. The Town of St. Marys issues lifetime pet tags, therefore a new tag is not issued yearly.

Should a replacement tag be required, please contact the Clerks Department at 519-284-2340 ext. 350 or clerksoffice@town.stmarys.on.ca. A fee is required for a replacement tag.

Payment options for the renewal include:
