Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024, to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Mayor & Council

St. Marys Town Council consists of the Mayor and six Councillors, including the Deputy Mayor.

Council meets in Council Chambers, located in the upper level of Town Hall, on a regular schedule. They meet to adopt recommendations from the Strategic Priorities Committee, enact by-laws and adopt resolutions related to Town business. The Procedural By-Law governs all regular and special meetings.
