Zoning By-law

The Town of St. Marys Zoning By-law implements the objectives and policies of the Official Plan and provides the required minimum provisions within each zone category. The Zoning By-law regulates the use of land and the character, erection, location and use of buildings and structures and to prohibit certain buildings, structures and uses in various defined areas of the Corporation of the Town of St. Marys.

Proposed Housekeeping Amendments

The Town has initiated housekeeping amendments to the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law to address a number of formatting, interpretation and technical issues that have been identified through the day-to-day use of the By-law.

The Town of St. Marys held a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.  The purpose of the public meeting was to provide an opportunity for you to provide comments to the Town respecting the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.  A copy of the notice of public meeting, a summary of the proposed amendments and Formal Report DEV 38-2022 to the Town's Planning Advisory Committee (May 30, 2022) are available below.
