Let's Talk Transit

The Town of St. Marys is conducting a Transit Feasibility Study to evaluate and explore transit options for our community. As part of this process, we are gathering data and insights on the local transit needs and engaging with community members to understand their needs. The findings will be presented to Council later this year, who will determine whether to move forward with the plan.

Why are we doing this?

We want to understand the need for public transit in St. Marys and what options would meet the needs of the community.

The Intercommunity Transportation Project (PC Connect) is projected to end on December 31, 2025. The Town is committed to finding innovative transportation solutions that address current gaps and ensure inclusivity and sustainability. In 2023, Council prioritized investigating and developing solutions for the local transportation gap for the 2022-2024 term.

How are we going to do it?

  • Gathering information: We're collecting data to see how people are currently getting around and what different transit options would look like.
  • Listening to you: We want to hear from you! We'll be conducting community engagement to get your thoughts and ideas.
  • Understanding feasibility: We'll look at different transit options to see what's practical and beneficial for St. Marys.

The Let's Talk Transit Survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated.
