Culinary Experiences Await at the Stonetown Heritage Festival

The Stonetown Heritage Festival returns on Saturday, July 25, inviting residents and visitors to savour a delicious celebration of local flavour in the heart of downtown St. Marys. This year’s event promises to offer festival goers a diverse lineup of food vendors, offering everything from sweet treats to savoury favourites and highlighting the community’s vibrant culinary scene.

From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Queen Street and surrounding downtown blocks will be filled with the aromas and tastes of festival fare. The Kinsmen Club will be serving breakfast downtown from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., offering a great way to start the day’s festivities. A curated selection of food trucks will be on site, serving up crowd-pleasing eats throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy treats from Anne’s Carmel Crisp, indulge in comfort food from Cluck Daddy’s, cool off with refreshing options from Sunset Shack, or snack on freshly made delights from Crazee Kernels.

In addition to the food trucks, festivalgoers can explore offerings from local food vendors set up downtown. Hillstone Restaurant will bring its signature flavours to the street, while The Strudel Lady will be there offering beloved handmade pastries.

The celebration continues throughout the downtown core, where many local restaurants will be open and welcoming guests during the festival. Visitors are encouraged to explore and support St. Marys’ vibrant culinary businesses, including Gilly’s, Perthstone Kitchen, Izzy’s Place, Snapping Turtle Coffee Roasters, The Flour Mill, Barista’s, Towne & Country Cheese Shoppe, Skippy’s Pizza, Pita Pit, Sukie Lee’s, Four Happy, Naina’s Kitchen and Green Haven Bakery. With such a wide variety of options, there is something to satisfy every craving, from quick bites and classic comfort food to unique dishes and fresh baked goods.

Beyond the food, the Stonetown Heritage Festival offers a full day of activity and community celebration. Guests can also enjoy the St. Marys Farmers’ Market, located downtown for this Saturday only, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where fresh local ingredients and artisanal products further highlight the region’s agricultural roots.

The festival’s inviting atmosphere and focus on local food and community connection make it a must-visit summer event that promises a memorable day filled with flavour.
