Stratford, St. Marys & Perth Tariff Response Task Force (TRTF)

Incorporating immediate and long-term actions to support local industry, small business and the workforce across all sectors.

  • Coordinated by investStratford, the Stratford Perth Tariff Response Task Force will focus regionally and include Perth County and Town of St. Marys.

  • Membership Composition: Members of the Task Force will be comprised of organizations with a primary mandate on economic development and are business-facing.

  • SEEDCo. is a non-profit of the City of Stratford. The task force, considered a priority project, will eventually report to the SEEDCo. Board of Directors. The City of Stratford will be represented on the task force.

Task Force structure

The task force will be divided into three sub-committees based on sector. Within each sector priorities will be set for short-term, responsive activities and long-term recovery projects around the following pillars:

  • To support community

Assistance with Learning Basic Skills and upgrading to complete your high school equivalency.

We host three dates a year when Service Canada comes to St. Marys. Contact the Library at 519-284-3346 for more details.

Friday afternoons. Meet with a Representative in person. No appointment necessary.

Help yourself to a warm beverage courtesy of our Friends of the Library Group.

Access food products from our pantry. Available to all community members during our hours of operation.

Access menstrual, bladder and hygiene products in our free pantry. Available to all community members during our hours of operation.

Free access to books, magazines, DVDs, video games, audiobooks, games, and puzzles for children and adults.

Free Access to digital audio books, E-books, magazines, music, videos, tv shows which can be accessed from your smart phone, tablet or computer.

Learn a language in Pronunciator, do genealogy research in Ancestry.

We lend snowshoes, walking polls, park passes, tennis rackets, pickleball rackets, museum passes, hockey game passes, hotspots, light therapy lamps, radon detectors, bocce ball kits, crokinole board, fishing poles, yoga kits, bird watching kits, and kids activity kits all for free. Enjoy some time experiencing some fun and making memories in your community!

The library has four computer stations that provide internet access and word processing and access to email for your needs, free of charge. Prepare, print or email resumes and government forms.

Printing in black and white or colour available on a variety of sizes, including large format for reasonable rates. Please ask staff for a detailed list of costs.

Access available throughout the Library.

Provide the community with local and Canada-wide free calling services for no cost.

Available in the library on both the first and second floor for free. Please see staff if you require a spot that provides power to plug in your device.

We offer space where you can tinker, create and make by booking appointments to use the equipment. We welcome everyone to the MakerSpace. You have access to sewing machines, sergers, a heat press, a Cricut, button maker and 3D printing free of charge, with a small fee for vinyl. Speak to staff for more details.

Can’t make it into the Library? We will help pick library resources based on your interests and deliver it to you at home. When you’re done, we will pick it up too! Ask staff for more details.

Borrow a bike lock, access to a bike repair kit and use our water bottle filling station for a quick cool drink.

Place a request for an interlibrary loan with staff. A small fee may apply from the lending library.

The library provides additional materials and can connect you to CELA resources.

Participate in book clubs, writing groups, playgroups, summer programs, reading contests, lectures, crafts, and even trivia nights! We also host financial literacy programming and offer one-on-one reading support for adults and children. Check out our website and program listings for more details.
