Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024 to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Section of Grand Trunk Trail Closed December 4 & 5

The Grand Trunk Trail will be closed from Sarnia Bridge (Thames River) to Ingersoll St. on Thursday, December 4 and Friday, December 5 to install new light posts. The trail will re-open on Friday afternoon, however the new lights will not be active until the ESA inspection and hydro service connection are complete.
