Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024 to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade returns this Friday, November 21!

Santa Claus is coming to St. Marys this Friday, November 21 for the Kinsmen's traditional evening parade!

Volunteers will begin closing parking stalls on Queen St. E from Water St. to Church St. and on Water St. S from Queen St. E to Jones St. E at 4:00 p.m. to ensure that stalls are empty by the start of the parade.

The parade will leave the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 7:00 p.m., and follow its familiar route up James St. S, west on Queen St. E through downtown, then south on Water St. S, where it will end.

Following the parade, be sure to visit the WinterLights display at Milt Dunnell Field. The lights will be lit each evening between 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. until January 1, 2026. Those who would like to donate to the display can do so at the Waving Santa display or through our online form: www.townofstmarys.com/winterlights.
