Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024 to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Festive Events Light Up St. Marys for the 2025 Holiday Season

The season kicks off with an invitation to attend the St. Marys Craft Show, scheduled for Saturday, November 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pyramid Recreation Centre. With over 100 tables of unique gifts and handcrafted treasures, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list.

Experience the glow of more than 100 dazzling WinterLights displays at Milt Dunnell Field! Starting Friday, November 14, the field lights up nightly from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. until January 1, 2026. Help keep this enchanting tradition free for all by sponsoring or donating at www.townofstmarys.com/winterlights.

Mark your calendar for Friday, November 21, as Santa Claus visits town for the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade. The parade departs from the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James St. S) at 7:00 p.m., following its classic route up James St., west on Queen St. through our beautifully decorated downtown, and south on Water St. Expect whimsical floats, creative costumes, and plenty of holiday excitement!

Downtown St. Marys truly shines beginning Friday, November 21, for the Merchants’ Open House. Enjoy exclusive promotions, festive giveaways, and horse and wagon rides. Don’t miss the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus as they spread holiday cheer to all!
