Aquatics Centre Set to Reopen After Renovations

The Town of St. Marys is excited to share that the renovations at the Aquatics Centre are finished, and the facility will once again open to visitors.

The Town will be re-opening the doors to the Aquatics Centre on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 with a grand opening event to follow on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The December soft opening date will be the launch of all regular programming (including Aquafit, Lane Swims, Open Swims and Rentals etc). There will be several additional Open Swims throughout the holiday season. Registration for these programs will begin on Tuesday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. through ActiveNet.

New this year, St. Marys residents will have priority access to swimming lesson registration through ActiveNet on Monday, December 22, at 9:00 a.m. Registration for swimming lessons to non-residents will open Tuesday, December 23, at 9:00 a.m. Swimming lessons will resume the week of January 5, 2026.

The Aquatics Centre is offering free Swim Level Assessments in December. Swimmers can meet with an instructor to determine their abilities and get a recommended level in order to register for swimming lessons. Leadership courses will start on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Programs offered will include Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and Swim Instructors. Registration for these courses will begin on Tuesday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. through ActiveNet.

Membership passes and pool rentals will be available with the 2025 rates until December 31, 2025. The Town encourages individuals to take advantage of this current pricing while rates still apply. To view a full list of rates, visit www.townofstmarys.com/aquaticscentre.

The highly anticipated grand opening event will be taking place on Saturday, January 24, 2026. This event will feature a big splash, ribbon cutting, giveaways, free swim times and other celebratory fun! More details will be announced soon on the Town of St. Marys’ website, Facebook and X/Twitter accounts.
