Town announces upcoming facility closures

Municipal Operations Centre closed May 16 – 20; Town Hall closed May 26 – June 3

Disruption

The Town of St. Marys will be performing scheduled facility maintenance at the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James St. S) and Town Hall (175 Queen St. E) over the next several weeks. The work will result in temporary closures of both facilities.

Staff at both facilities will be working throughout the closures and will be available by phone or email during regular working hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Residents are encouraged to call 519-284-2340 for assistance by phone or email communications@town.stmarys.on.ca with any questions or concerns. A staff directory is also available online at www.townofstmarys.com/contact.

Residents are reminded that the second installment of property taxes is due May 31. A number of payment options will be available during the closures, as noted below.

Closure Dates & Details

Municipal Operations Centre (MOC)

The MOC will be closed to the public from Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20.

Residents can make property tax payments during the MOC closure in any of the following ways:

• In person at Town Hall or their local bank, trust company or credit union (no charge)
• Telephone or internet banking (using their 19-digit property roll number as the account number)

Those looking to pay for building permits during the closure can do so by:

• Placing a cheque in the drop box by the main doors of the MOC
• Using online banking (use Town of St. Marys – General as the payee and the building permit number with additional zeros at the end for the 9-digit account number)

Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed to the public from Thursday, May 26 to Friday, June 3.

Stratford Police will be available by phone during the closure (519-271-4141 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies).

Residents can make property tax payments during the Town Hall closure in any of the following ways:

• In person at the St. Marys Public Library (May 30 and 31 only)
• In person at the MOC or their local bank, trust company or credit union (no charge)
• Telephone or internet banking (using their 19-digit property roll number as the account number)
