St. Marys Friendship Centre to hold first annual Scrapbooking Garage Sale

The St. Marys Friendship Centre is holding its first annual Scrapbooking Garage Sale on Saturday, September 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Community Centre one-third hall at 317 James Street South. A variety of gently used or new crafting supplies will be available for purchase tax-free. Admission to the event is free.

The idea for a Scrapbooking Supply Garage Sale was inspired by the enthusiastic response the Friendship Centre has received from participants in its scrapbooking classes and all day “Scrap-a-thon” or “Crop ‘Till You Drop” events.

“Scrapbooking is a passion for many people in our community,” said Jenny Mikita, Supervisor of Senior Services for the Town of St. Marys, “It’s a way to be creative while preserving cherished memories.”

The Friendship Centre currently has twenty vendors registered to sell their wares at the event, added Mikita, including Scrapping Great Deals, a popular scrapbooking product vendor based in Komoka, Ontario.

Individuals and businesses interested in participating in the event can still become vendors by contacting the Friendship Centre up to a day before the event. The vendor fee is $25 per table.
