The Town of St. Marys has lots to offer children and youth over the coming weeks! We've rounded up a few highlights for easy sharing.

If you work with children or youth in the community, we've also put together a social media kits or "shareables" that you can use. Thank you for helping us get the word out!


  • The VIP Pregame Program at the Youth Centre is the perfect place to enjoy videogames, TV and computers every Friday between 5:45 and 7:30 p.m. Purchase a season's pass to our VIP Pregame program and get FREE admission to Friday's St. Marys Lincolns game while supplies last! 

  • The Bronze Medallion & First Aid course at the Aquatics Centre teaches water rescue essentials, emergency first aid and skills necessary to advance to assistant lifeguard training. (Ages 13+) 

  • Evening badminton is back at the St. Marys DCVI gym starting Wednesday, November 24! Choose from two timeslots, either 6:50 to 7:50 p.m. or 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. A badminton membership of $20 required to play. (Ages 14+)

  • We're hiring Recreation Attendants to work both in the Youth Centre as well as the Canteen. If you're 15 years or older, this could be a great way to get experience in a variety of areas!

  • Hang out in the Pyramid Recreation Centre Youth Centre and enjoy crafts, sports, a homework space, and technology areas complete with gaming systems and TV. 
  • Swimming lesson spots are still available at the Aquatics Centre! Prefer a private lesson? We've got those too! 
  • Kid's Trivia, presented by the St. Marys Public Library, is still streaming every Tuesday on the Pyramid Recreation Centre's Facebook page.

  • The EarlyON December calendar is here! We've added a new 30-minute Play & Swim session too. 
  • Tiny Tots is back! Bring your little one under six years old for skating fun at the arena on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

For the family

  • FREE public skating (sponsored by the Optimist Club of Downie) is coming to the Pyramid Recreation Centre! The first date will be Sunday, November 28 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Follow the event on the Pyramid Recreation Centre's Facebook page for more dates! 
  • Come to the Aquatics Centre for a family swim! View available dates and times on ActiveNet. 
  • The St. Marys Museum's Leaving Footprints Exhibit explores how winter activities have been shaped by St. Marys' natural landscape. The exhibit begins December 6 and runs until January 31.
  • The St. Marys WinterLights Display at Milt Dunnell Field includes over 100 colourful holiday displays you can enjoy for FREE. 
  • The St. Marys Youth Council Toy Drive for the Salvation Army will take place downtown on Saturday, November 27 between 10:00 a.m. and noon and again between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Look for these young volunteers and their festive wagons in the streets for contact-free donating! Please focus on items for teens and preteens, as these age groups are often overlooked during the holidays.
