Billing and collection for water and wastewater has been transferred from the Town of St. Marys to Festival Hydro. You will no longer receive a water and wastewater bill from the Town of St. Marys. Instead, charges for water and wastewater usage will be included on your monthly electricity bill from Festival Hydro. This change will make managing payments easier and will allow you to access the convenient payment options offered by Festival Hydro.
Festival Hydro offers several convenient ways to pay your water/wastewater bill. If you are currently paying your Festival Hydro electricity bill electronically, either through online banking or pre-authorized payment (PAP), no changes are required. If you would like to opt out of the pre-authorized plan, or would like to take advantage of other payment options including paperless billing, visit www.festivalhydro.com or call Festival Hydro's Customer Service Department at 519-271-4703 (option 2).
Will I have to pay a security deposit? |
If you are an existing St. Marys water customer there will be no requirement to provide a security deposit at the time of transfer to Festival Hydro. Customers added after September 15, 2016 will be subject to Festival Hydro's security deposit requirements. |
I am a tenant/landlord. How will this affect me? |
Currently, water and wastewater accounts must be in the name of the property owner and will be transferred to Festival Hydro as such. The ability to transfer accounts to tenants will be available starting March 2017. This transfer can only take place with approval of both the property owner and tenant. |
I have a balance outstanding on my account. Who do I pay? |
The Town will not be transferring unpaid balances to Festival Hydro. The Town will continue to collect any balances remaining from the Town's last bill in September 2016. |
I received a letter stating that there is a problem matching my hydro and water accounts. Who do I contact? |
Festival Hydro is in the process of matching water and hydro account holders. If you received a letter from Festival Hydro indicating a matching issue, please contact their Customer Service Department at 519-271-4703 (option 2). |
