The St. Marys BIA is currently seeking Board of Director Nominees for its 2022 general election, which will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022.
There are five to seven positions available on the board. The term will run from 2022 to 2026, in line with the new term of Town Council. Elected board members attend monthly BIA meetings and occasional ad hoc meetings, plus assist the BIA in implementing its initiatives and programs.
All business and property owners over the age of 18 within the Business Improvement Area are eligible for nomination. You can download the Nominee Application Form or pick up a copy at Town Hall during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
Completed nomination forms must be returned to Town Hall in a sealed envelope marked "BIA Nomination" by 10:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

You are entitled to vote in the BIA election if, on voting day, you are:
You are automatically considered a BIA member if you own a business or property within the Business Improvement Area. You only get one vote in the election, regardless of how many businesses or properties you own within the Business Improvement Area. Members of a corporation located within the Business Improvement Area may nominate, in writing, one person to vote on the corporation's behalf. Two different corporations may nominate the same person to vote on behalf of both corporations. |
