Six St. Marys residents recognized for being “Strong As Stone”

When it comes to individuals willing to go the extra mile for others, St. Marys has them in spades.

It’s that time of the year to purge as the St. Marys Volunteer Firefighters and Kinsmen Club of St. Marys take to the streets on Saturday, April 27 to pick up scrap metal and e-waste. St. Marys Firefighters train for water rescue

Last weekend, the St. Marys Fire Department practiced still water rescue techniques at the St. Marys Quarry. They used specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ropes, poles, and a stokes litter basket to simulate water rescue scenarios.

Electric vehicle charger at Train Station temporarily out of service

The electric vehicle charger located at the St. Marys Train Station (5 James Street North) is currently out of service until further notice due to vandalism.

Alternative electric vehicle charging stations can be accessed at:

• Pyramid Recreation Centre parking lot (317 James Street South)
• Jones Street parking lot

St. Marys Public Library Board releases statement about Perth South funding changes

The St. Marys Public Library Board recognizes the vital and invaluable role of our local library. Beyond lending books and other items, the library provides a safe space where people can access services at no cost, with no judgement.
