Town Services

The Town of St. Marys offers a full range of services to its residents, businesses and visitors. Council places a high priority on building a “complete and healthy community” and as a result provides a host of active and passive recreation opportunities. From swimming to skating, tennis to t-ball, hiking trails to picnics, St. Marys offers many activities to the young and the young at heart. We take a leading role in raising our children, keep our seniors active and safeguarding our community. As a separated Town, St. Marys’ compliment of services is more complete than many municipalities in Ontario. Out team ensures that your garbage and recyclables are managed, basic services (water and waste water) are maintained and your public spaces kept clean.

Home to approximately 7,000 residents, St. Marys services a commuter shed of more than 1.6 million people and a labour force of almost 1 million. This labour force is highly skilled and will be continually fuelled by the graduates of Ontario’s premier post-secondary education facilities located in close proximity to St. Marys (University of Waterloo, University of Western Ontario, Wilfred Laurier University, Fanshawe College and Conestoga College). Council, while committed to building a balanced and creative community, is also working with Town staff and the business community to aggressively seek new investment that meets the needs and growth objectives of the Town. Town Hall

The historic Town Hall, built in 1891, is the heart of St. Marys’ municipal and administrative operations. This portion of the site offers resources related to St. Marys’ Mayor, Council and Sub Committees that help guide the Town’s operations. Information on the Clerks Office and Finance Department is also available as the lead for valuable information of municipal meeting agendas, minutes and reports, as well as, municipal Bylaws and budgets.

Welcome to St. Marys - A town that's always In Season!

It is my pleasure, on behalf of the members of Council and staff as well as the residents of St. Marys, to welcome you to what we believe is one of the most beautiful small towns in Canada.

There are many opportunities that our community offers: Enjoy a walk among one of our wonderful walkways, visit the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, enjoy browsing and shopping in our downtown shops, have a meal at one of our fine restaurants, relax in one of our fine parks, take a dip in our world renowned quarry. Further still, visit the Farmer's Market during a Saturday morning, stop by the St. Marys Public Library (an original Carnegie Library) and experience our local heritage at the St. Marys Museum.

St. Marys has exceptional schools, accessible health care, a wide selection of churches and a senior's population that happily participate in the Friendship Centre.

Many St. Marys citizens are proud to say there is just no other town which can offer so much.

Our beloved picturesque "Stonetown" is a delight to reside in and please tell your family and friends about us as well, they will thank you too.
